Nile Shams Cruise Itineraries:

 

Fridays : (4 Days and 3 Nights – Aswan to Luxor )


Day # 1 : Friday
As you arrive at Aswan airport or the local train station our representative will welcome you. Then you will be transported to your Nile cruise ship via an air-conditioned vehicle for your embarkation. After lunch, you will be accompanied by an experienced Egyptologist tour guide for an astounding tour to visit the High Dam, the Granite Quarries, and the Temple of Philae. Both dinner and overnight stay will be enjoyed onboard the vessel while docked in Aswan.

Day # 2 : Saturday
After finishing breakfast, the cruise ship will sail to the city of Kom Ombo to visit a famous site, the temple of Kom Ombo. This temple is shared by two gods. Sobek, the crocodile headed god, and Haroeris, the falcon headed god. Then enjoy lunch onboard as you sail to the city of Edfu. There, you can visit the Horus temple. You can enjoy an afternoon tea while sailing to the city of Esna. Dinner and overnight stay will be served onboard the Nile Cruise ship.

Day # 3 : Sunday
As you finish your breakfast onboard the cruise ship, sail to the city of Luxor with lunch on board the vessel. Then you will be accompanied for a magnificent tour to visit the Eastern part of the Nile River to visit both Karnak and Luxor temples. Then you will be transported back to the Nile Cruise ship for afternoon tea. Enjoy your dinner and overnight stay aboard the Nile cruise ship in Luxor.

Day # 4 :Monday
Enjoy a sumptuous morning meal. For this day visit the Western part of the Nile River in Luxor. You can see the Valley of Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at El Deir El Bahari and Colossi Memnon. After which you can enjoy free some free time for souvenir shopping. You will be transported to Luxor airport or train station for departure.

Mondays : (5 Days and 4 Nights – Luxor to Aswan)


Day # 1 : Monday
As you arrive, our representative will greet you for your successful arrival at Luxor airport or train station. Then you will be transported via private Air conditioned vehicle to the cruise for departure before lunch. In the afternoon, you will be accompanied for an amazing tour to visit the Eastern part of the Nile River in Luxor. There you can visit both the Karnak and Luxor temples. Then return to the Nile cruise ship for afternoon tea and dinner.

Day # 2 : Tusday
After finishing breakfast, you will be then transported to the Western part of the Nile River in Luxor. You can visit there the Valley of Kings, Hatshepsut Temple at El Deir EL Bahari and Colossi Memnon. Then, return to your cruise ship for lunch and afternoon tea while cruising to Edfu via Esna Lock. Your dinner and overnight stay will be onboard the Nile Cruise ship at Edfu.

Day # 3 : Wednesday
Enjoy your breakfast on board the Nile cruise ship. Then you will be accompanied by an experienced tour guide to visit the Horus Temple at Edfu. Then return to your cruise ship as you sail to Kom Ombo with lunch on board. When you arrive, you can visit the Temple of Kom Ombo that was shared by two gods, Sobek and Haroeris. Then continue sailing to Aswan. Your dinner and overnight stay will be onboard in Aswan.

Day # 4 : Thursday
You can visit the High Dam in Aswan, the Unfinished Obelisk and the Philae temple with a visit to the Botanical Garden by Felucca. And you will stay overnight in Aswan onboard your Nile River cruise ship.

Day # 5 : Friday
You will disembark in Aswan for the end of your tour after breakfast. You will have free time for leisure in Aswan on your own. And then you will be transported to Aswan airport or the local train station for final departure.


Mondays : (8 Days and 7 Nights luxor To luxor )


Day # 1 : Monday
As you arrive in the city of Luxor, you will be greeted and assisted by our representative at Luxor airport or train station, and then you will be transported by a private Air conditioned vehicle to the cruise ship for departure before lunch. Your dinner and overnight stay aboard the Nile River cruise ship in Luxor.

Day # 2 : Tuesday
Enjoy breakfast onboard then you will be accompanied for a wonderful tour to visit East Bank of the Nile in Luxor. The massive Temple of Karnak is incredibly impressive and filled with statues, colonnades an obelisk and ornate wall murals. Meanwhile the Luxor Temple, the smaller of two impressive temples in the ancient city of Thebes. After which you will have to return aboard to have dinner and sail towards Esna.

Day # 3 : Wednesday
The site of Edfu Tell was known as Wetjeset-hor, the place where the god Horus was worshiped and where the battle between Horus and his traditional enemy Seth in ancient mythology took place. Of all the temple remains in Egypt, the Temple of Horus is the most well-preserved and the only one we know to have been completed. Get on an early sail to Edfu to visit this majestic temple the return to the MS Nile Shams River Cruise for dinner and overnight stay after sailing to Kom Ombo.

Day # 4 : Thursday
When you get into Aswan, visit the High Dam and the Unfinished Obelisk amidst the great granite quarries. In the afternoon you may take a felucca ride to the Botanical garden.

Day # 5 : Friday
Abu Simbel is the most awe-inspiring temple in Aswan and, possibly, in all of Egypt. Sights include the four giant statues of Rameses II, erected to dissuade enemies in the south from attacking Egypt. This UNESCO World Heritage Site was almost lost forever with the creation of Lake Nasser, but the entire temple was moved in order to save it. As afternoon approaches you can have optional visit to the botanical Garden by Felucca. The evening meals as well as overnight accommodation will be onboard the MS Nile Shams River Cruise.

Day # 6 : Saturday
The temple at Kom Ombo was built in the time of Ptolemy VI. Since this bend in the Nile was a favored spot for crocodiles to bask in the sun and threaten locals, it is natural that the temple would be dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile god. But it is unusual in having a double dedication: it also honors Haroeris, a form of the falcon-headed god Horus. Sail early to Kom Ombo to visit this amazing temple. After the day tour, sail towards Edfu and Luxor for overnight stay aboard the Nile cruise vessel in Luxor.

Day # 7 : Sunday
Breakfast, then you will be transferred to the West Bank of the River Nile in Luxor to the Valley of the Kings and the Colossi Memnon. Also visit Deir el-Bahari, literally meaning, The Northern Monastery is a complex of mortuary temples and tombs located on the west bank of the Nile, opposite the city of Luxor, Egypt. The first monument built at the site was the mortuary temple of Mentuhotep II of the Eleventh dynasty. For lunch you will have to return onboard. Get some free time, dinner and overnight stay.

Day # 8 : Monday
After breakfast, disembark from your cruise and enjoy some free time before then you will be transferred to Luxor airport or station for departure.
